We love sharing our passion for offshore sailing, with a special focus on safety.
free-time-activities.com was founded by Luca Lafranchi in 2013. Since then, he has been dedicated to sharing his passion for sailing and the sea with you.
Over the years, Luca has sailed in some of the most fascinating places in the world. He has explored Patagonia, passing Cape Horn and the Beagle Channel, navigated the waters of the English Channel between Brittany and England, and crisscrossed the Mediterranean, from the Adriatic to the Tyrrhenian, from the Ionian to the Balearics, and all the way to Alboran. He has sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar and completed the TRANSAT multiple times, from Martinique to Gibraltar via the Azores.
His experiences extend even further, including the Tasman Sea and the Indian Ocean, from Whangarei in New Zealand along the east coast of Australia to Darwin, continuing to the Cocos Islands and reaching Mauritius.
With over 30,000 nautical miles logged on boats up to 20 meters and certifications such as the unlimited Swiss offshore sailing license and the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, Luca decided to embark on the path of entrepreneurship in 2018.
